National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT)

National Youth Leadership Training will be held May 2-4, 9-11, 2025

The Scouting program has specific objectives, commonly referred to as the “Aims of Scouting.” They are character development, leadership development, citizenship training, and personal fitness.
Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO)

- Who – Cub leaders who want to take their Pack overnight camping.
- What – Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO)
- When – Friday May 9, 2025 until Saturday May 10, 2025
- Check-in – Parking Lot 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS)

- Who – Future Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters & other registered adults interested in improving their basic Scout Skills
- What – Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS)
- When – Friday May 9, 2025 until Saturday May 10, 2025
Marksmanship Madness Range and Target Activities
- Date – Saturday, June 7th 2025, 8am to 4pm
- Location – Camp Minsi
This event is an opportunity for Scouts to compete and test your skills in Marksmanship. This will be our Second Annual Marksmanship Madness event. Scouts will learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; range rules; and we be shooting Rifles, Shotgun and Archery. At the end of the event Scores will be tallied and winners will be awarded. We are hoping to have another successful event.
Cub Scout will learn basics of BB, Archery and Sling Shot.
2025 Minsi Trails Council Wood Badge

In 1911, Baden-Powell took the first steps in training Scouting’s adult leaders by organizing a series of lectures for Scouters. He made great strides in the years that followed, culminating in 1919 with the establishment of Wood Badge training.
