PA Clearances for Camp CITs and Volunteers
As a 14 years of age and older (CIT) or Volunteer, you must secure and provide updated clearances to Minsi Trails Council
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check
- Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal History Background Check (required for all employees and some volunteers) Volunteers use code: 1KG6ZJ
OR
- Council PA Resident Volunteer Waiver for Volunteers who have resided in the Commonwealth of PA for the past 10 years, can submit the Disclosure Statement for Volunteers in lieu of the Fingerprint based FBI Clearance.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long are my PA Act 15 clearances good for?
Clearances are valid for 60 months (5 years) following the inception date noted on each clearance. The window to renew opens on the 57 month.
What is the timeline to provide the clearances to Minsi Trails Council?
Beginning on the 57 month, volunteers should begin to secure their clearances to continue their volunteer role. To be current, as per Pennsylvania law, all existing volunteers must secure their new clearances prior to the expiration date to continue their volunteer role.
How to submit clearances to Minsi Trails Council?
