Cub Scout 6 Essentials

Come join us for a morning of activities at Dorothy Rider Pool Wildlife Sanctuary in Emmaus.

Activities include

  • A presentation of box turtle, and other wildlands animals
  • Walking Trails
  • Tables with games and activities relating to Cub Scout six essentials
  • Cub Scout camp site demonstration

Times

  • 9:30AM Opening and Introductions
  • 9:50AM Presentation begins
  • 10:30AM to 12:00PM - Stations and activities

Dorothy Rider Pool Wildlife Sanctuary, 3701 Orchid Place, Emmaus, PA 18049

Cost

$9.00 per cub scout; includes one patch. Adults are free with no patch.
If you’d like an extra patch the cost will be $2.50.

Who May Attend

Any registered Cub Scout.

Scouts may bring a friend and your friend will be free; please register your friend when registering your scout. Adults will be free - please register also when registering your scout. Any Tiger Cub Scout will need to attend with your registered adult leader.

What to bring

CUBS SCOUTS NEED TO BRING; Backpack/Daypack containing the Cub Scout Six Essentials; Small First Aid Kit, Water bottle filled with water, Flashlight, Snack (trail mix), Sun Protection (hat, sunscreen) and a Whistle.

What to wear

Wear cub scout themed shirt. The morning will be spent entirely outside, please dress accordingly, rain or shine. Wear closed toe shoes and be prepared for some walking around on trails and grass.

Photo Policy

Wildlands Conservancy reserves the right to photograph participants during activities, and to use these photographic images in commercial or non-commercial publicity for nature programs or facilities. Refusals to grant photographic release must be in writing in advance of the program.

Wildlands Parking

During morning drop off - Parking is limited at the Wildlands. It is encouraged to carpool and follow the flow of traffic pattern in order to make the drop and registration process go smoothly. Please be prompt in arrival. The program will begin promptly with a presentation of a Box Turtle and a few other Wildlands animals at 9:45AM
