As A Member of the Jamboree Staff - You Deliver the Jamboree Experience!

What makes a Jamboree awesome? What is the key to a world-class, life changing experience? It’s you. If you love Scouting and being part of a high functioning team that delivers amazing experiences, then we want you on the 2026 National Jamboree Staff Team. The 2026 Jamboree will ELEVATE the Scouting experience for thousands of youth, and no matter your skillset, we need you to help deliver the promise of this historic event.

Staff Positions

There are two National Jamboree Staff Guides available, each designed to help you make the most of your experience! If you’re new to the Jamboree or eager to explore a wide range of exciting opportunities, dive into the General Interest guide. Staff Schedule

Staff arrive to set up the Summit Bechtel Reserve for the 2026 National Jamboree as early as July 19 and stay through departure day on July 31. We know that’s a big time commitment. To help you make that commitment, as a staff member, you’re able to attend a part of the 2026 National Jamboree if it works better with your schedule. Staff members can attend in one of three sessions:

Session 1: July 19-31, 2026 (Full Jamboree)

Session 2: July 19-25, 2026 (First Half)

Session 3: July 25-31, 2026 (Second Half)

There's a Jamboree session to fit your needs, but why cut your time short? Start planning now to attend Session 1 so you can spend the entire 2026 National Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve! You won’t want to miss a moment of the fun.

Staff Fees

Staff full fee – $1,060 for the full duration of the Jamboree

Staff reduced fee – $650 for the full duration of the Jamboree for staff aged 29 and under

Staff partial fee – $700 for one week of attendance at the Jamboree

Staff partial reduced fee – $400 for one week of attendance at the Jamboree for staff aged 29 and under

Staff Refund Policy

All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to national.jamboree@scouting.org.

All refund requests received before March 31, 2026 will be processed within six (6) to eight (8) weeks upon receiving the request.

All refund requests received on or after April 1, 2026 will be processed within six (6) to eight (8) weeks AFTER the close of the National Jamboree.

Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis based on merit.

Refund requests received after June 30, 2026 will not be considered.

Note the following decisions regarding refund requests:

  • In cases where the applicant has shifted from Staff to council participant (e.g., a registered Staff member who will be needed instead as a council contingent leader), a full refund will be made regardless of the date.
  • If the refund request is for a Staff position but a position is not offered, a full refund will be made regardless of the date of the request.
  • If the request is made due to military orders, a relocation caused by an employment change, or a documented medical condition:
    100 percent is refundable through December 31, 2025
    • $150 is non-refundable from January 1, 2026 through March 31, 2026
    • $175 is non-refundable from April 1, 2026 through May 30, 2026
    • $200 is non-refundable from June 1, 2026 through June 30, 2026
  • No refunds will be considered without proper documentation in the case of medical emergency.
    • Failure to meet the minimum medical requirements specified on the annual health and medical form will not qualify for a refund.
    • Proper documentation consists of letter from a qualified medical provider stating the condition or circumstance that changed your participation.
