PA Clearances for Camp CITs

Camp Staff (CIT) Counselor in Training and Volunteer

As a 14 years of age and older (CIT) or Volunteer, you must secure and provide updated clearances to Minsi Trails Council:
 
  1. Link to Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance 
  2. Link to Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check; and 
  3. Link to Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal History Background Check (required for all employees and some volunteers) Volunteers use code: 1KG6ZJ 

    OR

    Download Council PA Resident Volunteer Waiver for Volunteers who have resided in the Commonwealth of PA for the past 10 years, can submit the Disclosure Statement for Volunteers in lieu of the Fingerprint based FBI Clearance.

Q. How long are my previous clearances good for?

A. Clearances are valid for 60 months (5 years) following the disseminated date noted on each clearance. 

Q. What is the timeline to provide the clearances to Minsi Trails Council?

A. To be current, as per Pennsylvania law, all existing volunteers must secure their new clearances prior to the expiration date to continue their volunteer role.     

Q. How to submit clearances to Minsi Trails Council?

A. Camp Staff: Submit the copies to the Director of Support Services. Please include with your camp staff paperwork.
